By accessing or using 5HA (5ha.net), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of 5HA immediately.
1. Nature of Service
5HA is a browser-based file hash calculator provided as a free, voluntary service. 5HA computes cryptographic and non-cryptographic hash values for files using algorithms including MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, CRC32, SHA-3 (256), SHA-3 (512), BLAKE2b, BLAKE2s, RIPEMD-160, Adler-32, and Whirlpool. All hash computation within 5HA executes locally inside your web browser through JavaScript and WebAssembly. The entity responsible for operating 5HA is identified in the 5HA Impressum.
2. As-Is Provision
5HA is provided strictly on an "AS IS", "WHERE IS", and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all faults and defects, whether known or unknown, visible or hidden. The entity operating 5HA expressly disclaims all representations and warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, completeness, currentness, and freedom from errors, defects, interruptions, or other harmful components.
3. No Warranties
No advice, information, or material obtained from 5HA shall create any warranty. The entity operating 5HA does not warrant that 5HA will meet your requirements, that 5HA will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis, that hash values computed through 5HA will be accurate representations of the mathematical hash of the input data in all cases, that the hash algorithm implementations within 5HA conform to their respective published specifications under every browser, device, and operating system configuration, that computed hash values will be consistent across different browsers, devices, or operating system environments, or that any defects in 5HA will be identified or corrected.
4. Hash Accuracy Disclaimer
5HA computes hash values using browser-based implementations of published hash algorithms, delivered through the Web Crypto API and the hash-wasm WebAssembly library. The actual hash output depends on your browser's JavaScript engine, WebAssembly runtime, available system memory, active browser extensions, device processing environment, and the correct delivery of third-party library code through content delivery networks. 5HA's hash output serves as a general-purpose reference tool. Professional applications requiring certified or validated hash computation, including forensic evidence submission, regulatory compliance documentation, and financial audit records, should employ dedicated, hardware-validated, or independently audited hashing tools appropriate to the specific framework governing the use case.
5. Assumption of Risk
You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of 5HA is entirely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for all consequences arising from your use of 5HA, including any reliance on hash values computed through 5HA for file integrity verification, security assessment, forensic analysis, evidence documentation, compliance reporting, or any other purpose.
6. Scope of Intended Use
5HA serves as a general-purpose utility for informational and convenience purposes. Professional applications where hash computation accuracy carries legal, financial, evidentiary, or safety consequences require tools specifically designed, tested, certified, and validated for those contexts. You bear sole responsibility for determining whether 5HA is appropriate for your intended use and for independently verifying any hash values produced by 5HA before relying upon them in any consequential context.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the entity operating 5HA, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, successors, and assigns, shall bear no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, business opportunities, revenue, or other tangible or intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use 5HA, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and regardless of whether the entity operating 5HA has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions where complete exclusion of liability is not permitted, the total aggregate liability of the entity operating 5HA for all claims shall not exceed one euro (€1.00).
8. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the entity operating 5HA, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of 5HA, your violation of these Terms of Use, your violation of any applicable law or regulation, and any reliance on hash values produced by 5HA for any purpose.
9. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for verifying that any hash value computed through 5HA meets your requirements before relying on 5HA's output for file integrity verification, security assessment, forensic documentation, regulatory compliance, or any other purpose. You are solely responsible for independently confirming the correctness of any hash value when the consequences of an incorrect value are significant. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of 5HA complies with all laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.
10. Intellectual Property
5HA, including 5HA's name, logos, visual design, source code, and all associated intellectual property, remains the exclusive property of the entity identified in the 5HA Impressum. These Terms of Use grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use 5HA as a file hash calculator in accordance with these Terms of Use. All rights that are expressly stated here are the full extent of the rights granted.
11. Service Continuity
The entity operating 5HA reserves the right to modify, suspend, limit, or permanently discontinue 5HA, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without prior notice. The entity operating 5HA bears no obligation to maintain, support, update, or continue providing 5HA.
12. Modification of Terms
The entity operating 5HA reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms of Use at any time. Your continued use of 5HA following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms of Use. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms of Use periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the entity operating 5HA is registered, as identified in the 5HA Impressum, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Use is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make the provision valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
15. No Waiver
Failure by the entity operating 5HA to enforce any provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision or any other provision at any future time.
16. Translations
5HA's Terms of Use may be provided in languages other than English as a courtesy to visitors of 5HA. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency between the English-language version and any translated version of these Terms of Use, the English-language version shall prevail in all cases.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with the 5HA Privacy Policy and the 5HA Impressum, constitute the entire agreement between you and the entity operating 5HA regarding your use of 5HA and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications on the subject matter.
